The Manhattan Yorkers captured the U18 Stars & Stripes Cricket Bash crown with an impressive 28-run victory over the Baltimore Royals in North Carolina. Batting first, the Yorkers posted a competitive 134/3 in their 15 overs. Ashwath Gurumurthy anchored the innings with 37 off 27 balls, bolstered by useful cameos: Arsh Shah hammered 23 off just 18 with 3 sixes and Mukund Rao constructed 39 off 34 balls with 3 fours and a six.

In pursuit, the Royals faltered at 106 with 9 down, unable to match the Yorkers’ disciplined bowling. The disciplined attack choked runs effectively, sealing a comfortable win. Aswath again made a magical contribution by taking 2 of their top order batsman in a single over. Neil and Aarush also joined in uprooting Royal’s cream batters.
